ASDAN’s mission is to engage young people aged 11 to 25 years in greatest need to achieve meaningful learning outcomes, which elevate them to go on to further education, training or work, and empower them to take control of their lives.
Qualification Courses
Course 1 - Summer Term
ASDAN - Gardening Short Course (Qualification)
The 5 week course starts Wed 7th June 4.30-6.30pm and all 5 sessions are to be booked and attended to gain the qualification
Ages: 11-16yrs
Dates: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th June & July 5th
Price: £149P.00pp paid in full on booking
Info: The ASDAN Gardening Short Course offers exciting and rewarding activities to develop skills and knowledge through gardening. This course helps learners develop practical gardening skills, as well as personal, social and work-related skills. Want to progress into a career in this field this qualification
This Short Course will be delivered in the informal setting of Crimsham farm for 11-16 year olds with an interest in planting, growing their own food, how to use it in the kitchen and everything in between!
Want to progress into a career in this field this qualification:
Can count as up to 3 of the credits needed to achieve the Personal Development Programmes
Can count as up to 6 of the credits needed to achieve CoPE
Also offers progression to AoPE and Wider Key Skills
Modules are:
Planting in the garden
Growing food on the allotment
Working undercover
Wildlife in the garden
Using your produce in the kitchen
Construction in the garden
Art in the garden
Careers in gardening
