Alternative Provision
Crimsham Farm is pioneering a new form of Alternative provision. We understand that mainstream education does not suit every pupil and have tailored a 4 hour package that will result in improved behaviour, manners, respect, attendance and ultimately a better quality of life and education for the pupil.
Using our team of Ex Military instructors, we will create a tailored experience for any child at risk of exclusion or suffering with a whole range of behavioural issues. Using what they like and what they want to do, to improve the way they think and act. We operate our entire centre on a needs led basis, right down to the construction of the site and what animals we have. Everything here is here because it was identified by a site user.
The farm offers an incentive based scheme where children are rewarded for behaviour and attendance and made to feel included and part of the team, treated like adults and immersed in a grown up way of life that will change them as individuals, whilst educating them in life skills the entire time, more often than not, without them even realising it.
Our proven methods have led to better attendance in pupils, a reduction in disruptive behaviour and an increase in general respect and positivity.
For SEN students and those with additional needs, we base the sessions around animal interactions, using our hand reared herds as therapeutic tools to reduce stress, depression and anxiety in every day life, ultimately leading to improved response. We have had immensely high success rates in children with autism, selective mutism and reduced educational capacity, seeing massive improvements in engagement and interaction, not just with the animals, but with other children and adults as well.
Our entire package is competitively priced. As a not for profit organisation, we are not profit led and therefore charge substantially less than other AP’s. We offer discounts on group bookings and can accommodate short or long term contracts. Transport to and from the site and place of education or home can be arranged for an additional cost and there is no charge for Teachers or Carers to attend.
Prior to commencing any engagement, we do encourage a site visit from the student and their family, primarily so we can get a gauge on what they like and to prepare a package for them and secondly, so that the parents, carers and teachers, are able to see what it is we do and how it will help their child. Our parent led approach and needs led instruction combine to make the perfect balance of education and stimulation that will engage any person.

We already actively engage with over 30 students per week, with numbers increasing every day. We work closely with West Sussex, Hampshire and multiple schools and support organisations in order to maintain a safe and responsible environment in which the children can thrive.
